Hi Donna,

It Shari here, just thought I'd email you with an update on how little (or not so little) Ilsa is doing.

She's growing in leaps and bounds, and she's bounding and leaping her way into EVERYBODIES hearts. Both neighbours absolutely adore her. She has the softest personality I've every seen in all my years of living with dogs. Her personality is so different from a Rottie's, a Bouvier's or a Min-pin cross (ie Wally). Of course it could also be that she is the first little girl I've had the priveledge of getting to know. Whatever the case is, she's my sweetie.

As far as training goes... let's just say that she's sharp as a whip. She's stubborn, but once you've shown her who's boss... she never forgets the command. We're having some trouble with the "stay", as her attention span is that of a gnat. I'm sure with time, she'll mature and it'll be easier to keep her mind on the task at hand. She's still all legs, and quite gangly, so tripping and face-planting occurs often - and often in front of people. Affectionately, we call her "goofus". Her and Wally are the best of friends, with Wally still controlling the game. I'm not sure if that will change as her size allows her more power, but right now, Wally at 9.5lbs, can "take her down" (and I thinks she's at 18lbs, give or take a couple). It's actually quite funny to watch. Wally will take a flying leap at her, grab her by the scruff and down she goes. When she get's too rough, he finds a small space that she can't go, and hides until she forgets what she was doing.

We're are so happy with her. We love her so much and she has become part of the family. Actually, she was part of the family from the first day that I saw her, but now, I couldn't imagine our house without her. I've included some pictures of her and the Wally-dude.

Shari, Ted, Ilsa and Wally.
